Days 226-229 – What I Did This Weekend

26 Sep

I was thinking yesterday that I really haven’t gotten much done around the house over the past few weekends and that I really must get back to being more productive.

Then I thought about it for about a second more and realized some of the things I HAD done over the weekend.

I built a blanket fort.

I played seemingly endless rounds of Blink and somehow never managed to win one of them.

I played some Gerald Mc Boing Boing and didn’t cheat out on the Boing Boings.

I assisted  chef Gracie in the kitchen.

I got in a nice long walk along a drizzly beach.

I had lunch at the park.

And I realized, I got a little more done that I had originally thought.

So I didn’t clean out a closet. Big whoop.  I’ve got 136 days left. What’s the rush?

These things went to CHKD and recycle.

Who needs those keys anyway?

Or this one?

Thrift-tacular

Look what oneshabbychick found this weekend at the rummage sale.

Oh no.

Just oh no, DIY gone all wrong.

I hope it wasn’t a present that made it’s way to the rummage sale. Oh they joys of shopping thrift.

Thanks oneshabbychick. Keep them coming.

I’m linking this fabulous thrift find to Apron Thrift Girl.

OMG Megan, did that price tag say $15 for the bread roll stuck in a picture frame? OMG, that’s all I can say!

I didn’t think you were an Apple kinda girl. Can’t stand them myself.

And who said you have to declutter 24/7. You should enjoy yourself from time to time and those wonderful kids of yours. They’re just gorgeous.

    xx

See, you can make even a drizzly beach sound fab!
“The bread? Oh darn the loaf has gone stale, oh wait honey I know just what to do with it” LOL I love the fact that it has a chunk missing on the right side LOL, worth the $15 IMHO. Just trying to picture exactly where I’d put that beauty.

I can come help you find the perfect place for it.

That bread reminds me of a friend’s wedding present from a future family member…a new cast iron fry pan with a decorative rubber chicken glued to it.

I think I’d rather get the pan with the rubber chicken. :)

Whoa…wait a minute there. Am I to understand that with 229+ cluttery items gone from your life you have more time to spend with the fam and play things like Blink? (I frickin’ LOVE that game!!) Now THAT is inspirational!! Must. Keep. Decluttering.

I love how the end of the bread is broken or nibbled off. GROSS! That OneShabbyChick…she always finds the best stuff!
